One of the most anticipated and probably the most missed feature in the Windows Phone 8.1 including the GDR 1 for Windows Phone 8.1 is the ability to add data toggle switch to the action center. Now, new report claims that Microsoft is reportedly planning to launch the Update 2 aka GDR 2 for Windows Phone 8.1 which will finally support the capability to add data toggle switch to the action center and the ‘Settings’ arrangement will also change.
A new reports suggests that Microsoft is aiming to release the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 2 in October which will finally give the users option add the data toggle switches to the action center of Windows Phone 8.1.
The Settings in Windows Phone will be getting more options to sort out including alphabetical sorting to reach your desired settings easily. Currently, the settings are organized in non-alphabetical way which makes looking for a specific settings very difficult.
Another feature coming to the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 2 will be the availability of Cortana in more regions whereas, it is currently available in beta for US and UK whereas, Australia, Canada and India have got it as alpha.
It is to be noted that the report might claim that Microsoft will launch the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 2 in October but, it is not sure how will the software giant release it without actually releasing the GDR 1 for public. It seems either Microsoft will release the public version of Windows Phone 8.1 GDR 1 in the month of September or GDR 2 will be released for Developer Preview users similar to GDR 1 – GDR 1 also added a couple of more awesome features like Live App Folders on Start Screen, Apps Corner and ability to mark messages in a conversation while using messaging app.
