WhatsApp, the popular messaging app on Windows Phone has finally snagged an update in Store which adds the ability to use WhatsApp Calling feature. The update also adds the ability to send audio files.
WhatsApp started rolling out the free calling features to the Android users last year and it was available for Android and iOS users in early 2015. Now, the same feature has made its way to the Windows Phone.
The update bumps the version of WhatsApp to v2.12.60. and has the following change log:
- WhatsApp Calling now lets you call your friends in other countries free of cost by using your device’s internet connection
- Send and receive audio files
WhatsApp calling on Windows Phone would be welcomed by all the users and it’s good to see Windows Phone finally catching up with competitive mobile platforms in features.
