Microsoft is finally rolling out the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to the users enrolled in the Preview for Developers Program by Microsoft. The GDR 1 adds a couple of new features to Windows Phone 8.1 including the Live App Folders on Start Screen where apps are grouped in a folder and still the apps can show live tiles.

The Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 has also got a new feature in the Messaging app where you can now select multiple messages in a thread which can then be used to delete or forward the selected messages.

You now get the option to select a couple of apps which are showed specifically on your Windows Phone and those apps can only be accessed by people using your phone. The feature named ‘Apps Corner’ works similar to the Kid’s Corner instead, it locks your whole phone down and gives access to only the selected apps. We will be covering more details about this feature in our later posts).

Internet Explorer 11 has also been updated where the IE11 now renders the webpage you visit more efficiently and smoothly. You will now feel more-smooth browsing.
