Microsoft is scheduling to launch the first ever Lumia Windows Phone with ‘Microsoft’ branding and logo on it instead of ‘Nokia’ on November 11, 2014. We have also seen leaked images along with specs of the entry-level Lumia 535 with Microsoft branding which could be the first ever Microsoft branded phone.
Lumia Windows Phone devices have always been known for being durability and built by Nokia but, after the acquisition of Nokia’s hardware and device division by Microsoft, the software giant is killing the ‘Nokia’ branding from all future Lumia Windows Phones.
Many of us, including me, have been using the Lumias due to the Nokia branding where Nokia has always been a big brand. I always owned the Nokia devices whether it being a classic Nokia 3310, Nokia N900, Nokia N8 or the Nokia Lumia 520, 720 and 920 and personally, all of them were awesome in their own ways as compared to other brands.
Now, with the Nokia branding going away, it is a bit difficult, not impossible for me to switch to some other brand for Windows Phone. I, being a Microsoft fan, and owning many of Microsoft products like Windows Phones, Windows PC’s, Surface (Surface RT first generation) and Xbox would love to use a Microsoft branded phone but, it might not become replacement of my Nokia devices.
So, there you go! I will use Microsoft branded Lumia phones but, will also keep my Nokia devices until they are dead. Are you planning to get a Microsoft branded Lumia device once it is launched or not? Vote in the poll below and we will share the results with you once the first Microsoft Lumia is unveiled.
