Microsoft’s first ever tablet, Surface with Windows RT is currently available in just 5 countries for sale but, now, the tablet would be available in more 13 countries starting from February 14, 2013.

Microsoft previously announced that Surface RT would be coming to more countries including Europe but, we didn’t had any exact launch date. Now, Microsoft has announced that Surface RT, which was launched on October 26 would be available in 13 more countries of Europe.

Surface RT is coming to Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland on February 14, 2013 but, it hasn’t been announced whether through local retailer or through Microsoft Online Store.

Microsoft has also announced that Surface RT 64GB model would be sold as a standalone package whereas, previously it was only available with touch cover for the price of $699. New Surface RT 64GB model price without touch cover would be $599.

On the other hand, the professional version of Surface, Surface Pro would also be launched for public on February 9, 2013. Surface Pro can run almost all apps and perform all tasks of a traditional PC whereas, Surface RT, in contrary can only run specific Windows 8 apps available in Store.

Surface Pro would be available in two models; 64GB and 128GB which will cost $899 and $999 respectively, without touch/type covers.
