Its Patch Tuesday which means Microsoft has released the security and other updates for all its products including the Windows 8.1 and its different services. The patch Tuesday for the month of September 2015 release on August 10, 2015 includes a lot of cumulative security and other updates for the Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, Internet Explorer 11 and other core services of Windows.

KB2977629 for Internet Explorer 11

This cumulative security update for the Internet Explorer 11 of Windows 8.1/RT not only includes security patches but, it also has different other fixes for bugs. The security patch includes the 1 publicly and 36 privately reported security loop holes which are being fixed in this update. The user gets affected after visiting a specially crafted website designed specifically for this purpose.

KB2987114 for Flash Player

This update patches the Adobe Flash Player of Windows 8.1/RT for Internet Explorer 11. The update is originally released by Adobe but, Microsoft releases it from Windows Update to make it installable on Windows 8.x devices since, it includes pre-installed Flash Player. This update fixes the vulnerability in the Flash Player’s libraries which could compromise a PC.

KB2894852 for .NET Framework 3.5

This update fixes the loop hole which could allow a hacker to get elevated user privileges in .NET Framework of Windows 8.1/RT PC.
