The latest Windows Phone market share statistics show that the Lumia 520 is the most-popular Windows Phone devices in the world but, the 520 has lost its popularity in the US. Lumia 635 has become the most-popular devices in the United States.
According to the latest statistics by AdDuplex, Lumia 520 continues to dominate the worldwide market share whereas, the Lumia 635 is the most popular Windows Phone in the US. Nokia/Microsoft holds 96% of all Windows Phone market share.
Lumia 520 is still the most-popular Windows Phone device in the world
Coming to the worldwide share of Windows Phones, Lumia 520 is still the most-popular device with a share of 24.5%. The top Windows Phone devices doesn’t include any current flagship phone including Lumia 1520 and Lumia 930.
Lumia 635 has taken the place of Lumia 520 in the US as most-popular Windows Phone
In the United States, Lumia 635 has become the most-popular Windows Phone device with a share of 23.4% while the Lumia 521 (the LTE variant of Lumia 520 for US) has made its way to second by having 14.8% of share. Lumia 635 has become the most-popular Windows Phone after the recent deals of Lumia 635 for just 50% without any contract and it is one of the devices who were eligible for early version of Windows 10 for Phones installation.
Coming to the manufacturers, Microsoft formerly Nokia continues to dominate the market with a share of 96.43% while the rest is divided between HTC, Samsung, Huawei and ‘Others’ with a share of 1.93%, 0.78%, 0.48% and 0.38% respectively.
Windows Phone 8.1 is the most-used version of Windows Phone with a share of 70.9% whereas, Windows Phone 8.0 has shrunk to 20.6%. The recently launched early version of Windows 10 for Phones, available for selected Lumia device, has also appeared in the top 4 versions with 0.1% of share.
