Microsoft updates the pre-installed ‘Help+Tips’ app of Windows 8.1 with no change log

Microsoft has just released an update for the pre-installed ‘Help+Tips’ app of Windows 8.1 and the update is available for download from Store. The update has been released but, there is no mention what has been changed or added in it.

Windows 8.1 comes pre-installed with a Help+Tips app to help new users get acquainted with the features and functions of Windows 8.1. The app includes tutorials for everything from customizing your Start Screen to changing settings from PC Settings app.

The app is very useful for people who are new to the OS as it has got many changes as compared to the Windows 7. The app is so important that Microsoft has pinned its tile to the Start Screen when you launch the Windows from out-of-box.

Now, Microsoft has released the first update for Help+Tips app of Windows 8.1 after the launch of Windows 8.1 Update in April but, there is no change log available for it. We will assume it to be a bug squashing one.

This update can also be part of the Windows 8.1 Update 2 aka August Update which is scheduled to be released for public on August 12, 2014 and will include only few features or changes. This app update might get the updated feature list which are to be changed in the Update 2.

It is most likely the update is just a regular bug fixing and performance update but, you can download it right now from Windows Store to see what’s new since, we couldn’t find any difference. The update will be downloaded automatically to your PC otherwise, you might have to manually install the update by following the instructions in this article.
