Microsoft has been comparing many Windows 8/RT tablets with the iPad by Apple and popular tablets like Asus Vivo Tab and Dell XPS 10. But, now the software giant has released a new ad which compares the smallest Windows 8 tablet with Apple iPad mini.

Microsoft targets iPad with the Windows 8 Iconia W3 tablet in ad

Acer Iconia W3 is surely the smallest yet full Windows 8 powered tablet which can perform all the tasks of a regular PC but, it isn’t included in the high end device category  where devices like Surface and iPad which are the flagship devices by Microsoft and Apple own the market.

The video ad by Microsoft targets the Apple iPad by showing the recently released ‘Halo: Spartan Assault’ which is available exclusively for Windows 8/RT devices. The other things in the ad includes Office which can also be run on Iconia W3 while iPad doesn’t support it. In the last, the pricing of both the tablets are showed where Iconia W3 costs just $299 and iPad is priced $429 and both come with 32GB of storage.

You can watch it yourself after the break.

So, what do you think?
