Its Patch Tuesday which means Microsoft will be releasing the security and other updates for its products. Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 has got more than ten updates which cover a variety of Windows features from Internet Explorer 11, Adobe Flash Player, .NET Framework and core Windows features.
The updates not only include security updates but, cumulative and feature updates are also being released for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT users who are running the Update 1. Users without the Windows 8.1 Update won’t be able to get these updates.
Microsoft has also released the Update 2 dubbed August Update for Windows 8.1 which adds a couple of new features like the touchpad improvements and miracast updates etc.

This update is a cumulative security update for Internet Explorer 11 of Windows 8.1/RT which fixes a number of vulnerabilities reported privately to Microsoft by IT experts.
