Windows Phone devices specifically the Lumia series are well-known for their budget phones like the Lumia 520, Lumia 530 and latest Microsoft branded Lumia 535. Currently, the 5xx series is considered the budget friendly Lumia devices but, Microsoft seems to be aiming to release new series of Lumia devices with 4xx branding.
Brazil’s regulating authority, Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes (ANATEL), which works similar to the FCC in the United States has recently approved the Lumia 435 with low-end specifications. Lumia 435 aka RM-1068 seems to be the member of upcoming budget friendly series of Lumia devices. Microsoft seems to be aiming towards more budget friendly devices for low-end market which seems to be making more mark in the worldwide – Lumia 520 is the prove of that with huge market share.
Lumia 435 would have the following alleged specifications:
- 4-inch screen with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels
- Snapdragon 200 processor to power it
- 5-MP back camera
The above specifications seems very much similar to the current Lumia 520 and Lumia 530 which carry the same specifications but, it would be interesting to see the full-spec sheet of this new entry-level Lumia.
Microsoft seems to be aiming this Lumia 435 for the new low-priced range but, the actual pricing would be interesting to see seeing the specifications. Also, the documents mentions Nokia instead of Microsoft whereas, all future Lumia devices are expected to launch with Microsoft branding on front and back.
This Lumia 435 has only passed the Brazilian regulatory authority and it would be interesting to see it coming to the markets around the world as the next budget friendly Lumia.
Are you looking forward to any such budget friendly Lumia device?
