Surface with Windows RT and other Windows RT tablets have got the most advanced touch screens yet available in market but, still some users find it difficult to use it on Windows RT. But, Microsoft has provided an option to fix that as well.
You can increase the responsiveness of the touch screen of your Surface or any other tablet which would make your tablet more responsive and quick to respond to touch commands.
Just follow the instructions below to increase the touch responsiveness of your Surface tablet.
First of all, bring up the Charms bar by swiping from right side of screen and then select ‘Search’.

You would be showed ‘regedit‘ in results. Press it.
You would be taken to desktop where Windows will ask for your permission to make changes to your Windows. Simple press ‘Yes’.
Your ‘Registry Editor‘ will open. Here navigate to
Now, you would see 4 different options in the right column.
These four options manage your touch screen responsiveness but, you would edit just ‘Latency‘ and ‘SampleTouch‘.
Press either ‘Latency‘ or ‘SampleTime‘. A pop-up window will open. Here enter the vaule from 2 to 8 under ‘Vlue data‘ e.g. 8 and press ‘ok’.
Once you have selected your desired ‘latency’ and ‘SampleTime’, restart your Surface and bingo. Your touch screen responsiveness would have changed.
Tip: You can change both; ‘Latency’ and ‘SampleTime’ values to your desired from 2 to 8 and select the one which suits you the best.
