Just follow the instructions below to enable email notifications in Mail app of Windows 8.
First of all, open up the Mail app.
Once opened, go to the ‘Settings‘ Charm by pressing ‘Windows key + C‘ or swiping from right. Press ‘Settings’.
Your Mail app settings will open. Here select ‘Accounts’.
You would be showed a list of accounts which are connected to your Mail app. Select the one of which you want to get notified about new mails.
The account’s settings will open. Here search for ‘Show email notifications for this account’ and move the slider switch to the right.
Now, you will get notifications for the new emails you get in this account.
