Facebook beta for Windows Phone picks major update to get ‘most recent’ newsfeed and more

Facebook beta for Windows Phone 8.1 has been updated with a lot of awesome features and this update is probably the biggest feature update on Windows Phone for the social app. Among the top features is the ability to see ‘most recent’ newsfeed and handful of improvements in all fields of app.

Microsoft has released a beta version of Facebook app in Store which gets the features ahead of stable app. This update for Facebook beta is the biggest one in the Store for Windows Phone where many interface changes are being made and many new features are also added in it.

You will now be able to see the most recent updates on your newsfeed where the recent updates from your friends and pages are showed. The newsfeed on the Facebook app was always a mess due to the updates from pages being showed where updates from friends couldn’t be seen.

The update bumps the version of Facebook beta to and has the following change log:

  • Improved ‘top stories’ ranking
  • Ability to see ‘most recent’ updates
  • More content would be showed in newsfeed
  • Improvements in profile timeline
  • Improvements in group feed
  • Improvements in event feed
  • Improvements in page feed
  • Bug fixes
  • Other performance improvements

This update for Facebook beta is now available for download from Store and will be installed automatically. Otherwise, you may manually install the update by following the instructions found here.
